Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Curve Atelier. By booking a hire with us, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before securing your garment.

1. Booking & Payment

  • Full payment of the hire fee and the security bond is required before the hire period begins.

  • Your booking is only confirmed once payment has been successfully received.

  • Hire fees are non-refundable if a booking is cancelled within 7 days of the agreed hire date.

  • Requests for date changes are strictly subject to garment availability.

2. Security Bond

  • A $50 refundable security bond is applied to every booking (separate from the hire fee).

  • The security bond will be refunded to your original payment method within 3–5 business days after the dress has been returned and inspected.

  • Bonds may be partially or fully withheld if the garment is returned damaged, excessively soiled, or late.

3. Fit & Sizing

  • While we are more than happy to provide measurements and sizing advice, the customer is ultimately responsible for selecting the most suitable size.

  • Refunds are not available if a dress does not fit upon arrival, unless otherwise agreed upon prior to booking (e.g., via our postal try-on credit system).

4. Garment Care

  • Please do not wash, dry clean, iron, or alter the dress under any circumstances. Professional cleaning is included in your hire fee.

  • Please take reasonable care when wearing the garment. Avoid using fresh fake tan, heavy perfumes, body glitter, and permanent makeup where possible, as these may cause permanent staining.

5. Damage & Replacement

  • We expect minor wear and tear, and this will not incur any additional charges.

  • Significant damage—including but not limited to tears, burns, broken zips, missing embellishments, pet damage, or permanent stains—may result in repair or replacement costs deducted from your bond or billed to you.

  • Replacement Value: If a hired garment is lost, stolen, or damaged beyond economical repair, the hirer agrees to pay the full replacement cost of the garment, minus the $50 security bond already held.

6. Returns & Late Fees

  • Dresses must be returned on or before the agreed return date.

  • Late returns will incur a late fee of $15 per day unless an extension has been agreed upon in writing.

  • Continued failure to return a dress may result in the customer being charged the full replacement value of the garment.

7. Postage

  • Postal hires must be lodged at an Australia Post counter or placed in a yellow Express Post box on the agreed return date.

  • Customers are responsible for ensuring the dress is packaged securely in the provided return satchel.

  • Curve Atelier is not responsible for transit delays caused by Australia Post once the parcel has been successfully lodged.

8. Liability

  • The hirer accepts full responsibility for the dress for the entire duration of the hire period.

  • Curve Atelier is not responsible for any personal injury, loss, or damage resulting from wearing a hired garment.

9. Photography

  • We love seeing you shine in our dresses! By tagging @the_curveatelier in your photos, you give us permission to share your gorgeous looks on our social media platforms. If you prefer to keep your photos private, simply let us know.

10. Right to Refuse Hire

  • Curve Atelier reserves the right to refuse future bookings to any customer who has not complied with these terms and conditions during a previous hire.
